What else can be done for the patients if the medical treatment is not enough?

Medical treatment, for a large group of patients, is generally beneficial for the patients in early stages. But in time, due to the progression of the disease or developing a certain tolerance towards the medicine, the prescribed dosage and frequency become insufficient. If the patients do not show clinical daily well-being despite the increased frequency and dosage or if some motor or psychological side effects – dysfluency, stiffness, tremors, and immotility – of the medicines start to appear and the patients are stuck between these side effects and the medicines, then we choose to operate surgical interventions.

By treating some regions in the brain that causes the disease and changing the cell activities inside, we can diminish the symptoms or recover them.
